Members Bonito Tournament

The club will be hosting a month-long Atlantic Bonito (Sarda sarda) tournament during the month of April. Here are the details: Longest fish by fork length is the winner. Please submit a photo of your fish with a ruler in the picture and the recorded length to the tournament director (Mike Murphy – rtpmurphy@yahoo.com). Entries must be submitted by midnight on April 30, 2023. 

Fish must be caught in North Carolina waters from April 1 to April 30, 2023.  Anglers may submit multiple entries throughout the month but only the longest fish for each angler will be used to determine the winner. 

Fish caught on private boats or charter boats are eligible. 

Member outings for targeting Bonito will be organized for Saturday, April 1st and Saturday, April 15th by SignUpGenius invites.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Mike Murphy. We look forward to seeing you out on the water!
